Penn Club of Houston

Dear Fellow Greater Houston Area Quaker,

Thank you for your interest in the Penn Club of Houston! Our club serves the greater Houston, Galveston, and College Station areas. We welcome alumni, parents of current and former students, and current Penn students to participate in our club activities.   We host a number of Penn-themed events each year designed to help alumni and friends stay connected to the university and Philadelphia.  Recent events have included:

  • Hosting Penn political science professor Michael Horowitz as we learned about drones and their impact on modern war
  • Satisfying our sweet tooth as we made our own candy bars at the Chocolate Bar
  • Toasting founder Ben Franklin's birthday at our annual Ben’s Bash
  • Celebrating the season with friends at the members only holiday party at Saint Arnold Brewery
  • Coming together with the Harvard Club to watch as the Penn football team claimed victory over Harvard
  • Volunteering with Books Between Kids
  • Welcoming new alums to the area at our First September celebration at Star Pizza
  • Attending an Astros game with Astros General Manager and Wharton and Engineering alumnus Jeff Luhnow
  • Getting a behind the scenes tour of the KTRK Channel 13 news studio from anchor and CAS alumna Ilona Carson
  • Hosting Penn law professor Kermit Roosevelt who took us on a journey of how he wrote his critically acclaimed novel, Allegiance, a riveting story centered on Japanese American internment in World War II
  • Reconnecting with old classmates and reliving our glory days during our Dinners by the Decade

We look forward to seeing you at a Penn Club event soon!
